Seven7 DRIVE for Kids with Cancer Update – Days 5 & 6
Today the team drove from INHAMBANE (MOZAMBIQUE) to MANZINI (SWAZILAND) – approx. 680km
Departed 5am from Inhambane and Goba border crossing to Swaziland, continue to Manzini to arrive approx 2pm. Visited Manzini clinic and surrounds. Depart approx. 4pm for Mkhaya Nature Reserve. Arrive at camp at approx. 6pm.
“In Swaziland! It was an easy 800km day, and tomorrow we head to Lesotho and Sani Pass. Today we had a quick detour to the Indian Ocean, Jan van Deventer clowned around some, and we spent several hours in Mozambique traffic jams.”
Day SIX
Tomorrow they will travel from MANZINI (SWAZILAND) to MOKHOTLONG (LESOTHO) – approx. 708 km
Depart 5am for Salitjie border post, continue through SA to Sani Pass, and enter Lesotho once up Sani. Continue to Mokhotlong, and Mapouka campsite. Arrive approx 3pm. Visit Mokhotlong clinic/hospital late afternoon.
