… and He’s Off… #24Challenge
A short while ago our Intrepid Cyclist set off on his Epic Challenge – crossing Mpumalanga on a bicycle ~ One Man, One Bicycle, 440 Kilometres in #24 Hours!!
These are officially the FIRST #24Challenge photograph of Francois on the road!
Starting off in Hoedspruit, he has 87.2km to cycle before he reaches Ohringstad, which he estimated will be between 17:00 and 18:00 this evening.
It is 39 degrees Celsius (102.2 F) at the moment, but he is going like a champ.
To give you a little more perspective:
The annual Cape Argus Cycle Race is 109km, so the #24Challenge is more than 4 Cape Argus Cycle Races in 24 hours!
The Durban Amashova is 106km….so again, the #24Challenge is to complete more than 4 Amashova’s within 24 hours!
The Cape Classic 380 is 380km cycled over three days…..Francois is going to do 380km AND THEN SOME… in under 24 hours!
This young man deserves RESPECT for what he is doing to raise #ChildhoodCancerAwareness and Funds for LFCT.
Please show this wonderful, compassionate young 21-year-old chap that we think that what he is doing for children with Cancer is FANTASTIC by donating to his cause.
