Santa & Elves Still on Strike – LFCT Christmas Elves Needed Urgently
We received this message from our Super Sleuth Superhero, Little Fighter Tommi:
“The Little Fighters Cancer Trust really needs YOUR help, as we cannot afford to wait to gather all our Christmas presents for our Little Fighters, so please can you extend us a helping hand by volunteering as Little Fighters Christmas Elves?”
We are really trying to make Christmas, which IS for children after all, something better than a cold, impersonal hospital ward for all our Little Fighters… and ALL the other Children Fighting Cancer in the same wards (cos that’s how we roll at the Little Fighters Cancer Trust) so that NOBODY feels left out! For many of these children THIS is the ONLY Christmas that they will have, and the ONLY Christmas Presents they will receive.
What Does Becoming a Christmas Elf Mean?
Becoming a Little Fighters Cancer Trust Christmas Elf means that you help us to bring Christmas Cheer to our Little Fighters and their Families by donating some Christmas Goodies and getting your Colleagues, Friends and Family to as well, and delivering them to prearranged drop-off points so that we can sort, wrap and get them all ready within the next 30 days for delivery to our Little Fighters and their Families before Christmas.
While not many people can actually visit the Little Fighters in hospital due to their compromised immune systems and fear of infection, we do try to make them feel special by visiting, giving them a little Christmas party and some presents so that they too feel special – many of these children will be spending Christmas in Hospital and many of them will receive no other presents as their families just do not have the money… Cancer is EXPENSIVE!
In the case of the Individual Families that we support, the Child with Cancer’s siblings also get Christmas Gifts and many of these Families are also gifted with a full month’s worth of groceries, so that they too, can share in the Festive Season without having to worry about where the next meal will come from. Please email email@example.com for the full groceries list, if you would like to collect and donate groceries.
Ask Your Company to Donate
Do you work for a company that likes to do special things around Christmas time? Do you own a company? have you been thinking of asking your boss to contribute toward the Little Fighters Cancer Trust Christmas Elf Project, but not quite sure how to go about it?
