Today is International Childhood Cancer Day
Every child should have the right to health, which includes access to cancer treatment. The major problem with regards to Childhood Cancer in Africa is that the incidence of the disease is largely unknown and consequently there is a lack of reliable statistical data, which could influence health policies.
International Childhood Cancer Day is based on Childhood Cancer International’s (CCI) core belief that every child with cancer deserves the best possible medical and psychosocial care, regardless of country of origin, race, financial status or social class. It is also anchored on the premise that childhood cancer deaths are avoidable, with timely and accurate diagnosis, availability and access to proper treatment and care as well as affordable essential medicines.
Show your support for International Childhood Cancer Day by spreading Childhood Cancer Awareness, familiarising yourself with the Child Cancer Early Warning Signs (and sharing the information far and wide), and by donating to the Little Fighters Cancer Trust so that we can continue fighting for ALL Children With Cancer in South Africa.
If you would like to help us to continue helping Children with Cancer and their families, please either make a financial donation or make a donation towards one of our projects.
We are in dire need of foodstuffs and toiletries at the moment for our Little Fighters and their families – you can either donate product from our list of needs on our Wishlist Page under “Feeding Our Families“ or donate financially so that we can purchase the fresh produce that we add to each Family food delivery.
