Patients in remission after cancer breakthrough
Patients who were told there was no hope are now living symptom-free after their own bodies were trained to beat cancer.
A potentially revolutionary therapy by American scientists that trains the immune system to attack cancer has shown “extraordinary” results in early trials involving terminally ill patients.
In one study 94 percent of participants with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia saw their symptoms vanish completely.
Trials on blood cancers also had over 80 percent success, with over half of patients in remission.
