Corporate Sponsors Needed for Childhood Cancer Awareness Pamphlets

csr_thumThe Little Fighters Cancer Trust is committed to not only offering support of various kinds to Children with Cancer and their Families across South Africa, but also to raising Childhood Cancer Awareness, because many more children’s lives could be saved if they were only diagnosed earlier.

Unfortunately awareness of the warning signs of cancer is dismal in South Africa, especially in the rural areas, and even amongst the medical fraternity. Approximately only around 30% of actual childhood cancer cases are even diagnosed annually in South Africa, and of those many of them are diagnosed too late for effective treatment to be given.

We create awareness around the warning signs of childhood cancer and other information via our Facebook page, our website, this blog, and by distributing pamphlets and posters whenever and wherever we can. We have distributed in excess of 100 000 pamphlets over the past year and now have only 40 in stock.

The pamphlets are glossy with double-sided printing, with the Early Warning Signs of Childhood Cancer on one side, and more information about what all our Organisation offers on the other side.

Pamphlets are distributed via the following channels:

  • Our Fundraising Team who travel the entire country, selling our Funky Frogs in malls and shopping centres across the country
  • Clinics, Hospitals, Paediatricians Consulting Rooms, Doctor’s Offices, Clinics
  • All our events, including Corporate Golf Days, Medical Seminars, Workshops, Project Drives
  • Schools and churches
  • Any businesses that wants to display the pamphlets for their staff and/or customers

We offer companies an opportunity to use part of their CSI budgets for a good cause – and one which could potentially save lives – bydonating the cost of our pamphlets. We print 100 000 pamphlets at a time as that is the minimum required, and obviously the more we print the less we pay per pamphlet, so if we can get a few companies to donate the cost of 100 000 pamphlets each we will all score!

Invest in the Future of South Africa
By giving Children a chance at a Future!

Companies that are willing to sponsor 100 000 pamphlets will have their company logo and a byline stating “XXX proudly supports the Little Fighters Cancer Trust and Childhood Cancer Awareness” on both sides of the pamphlet.

We can distribute any amount of pamphlets sponsored, so if your company would like to sponsor more we will gratefully accept, as you are not limited to sponsoring just 100 000 by any means!

The Little Fighters Cancer Trust has been working with great printers for a few years already, and they come to the table as well by offering us a really great deal on the pamphlets, ensuring the lowest possible price!

Companies will receive Section 18A tax benefits as well as BBEEE score for the full amount donated!

Early Warning Signs

About LFCT

This is a blog about CHILDHOOD CANCER and CHILDHOOD CANCER AWARENESS Little Fighters Cancer Trust is a non-profit organisation that offers support and aid to Children with Cancer and their families. When a child is diagnosed with cancer it affects the whole family. One of the parents, usually the mother, must give up their job to care for the child and this creates financial problems for the family. In South Africa especially the majority of these families are not well-to-do; many of them are rural. A diagnosis of cancer can wipe out any family’s finances, let alone a poor family. The costs of special medications, special diets, hospital stays, transport to and from the hospital or clinic and accommodation and food costs for the mother who spends most of the time at her child’s bedside are astronomical. These are the people and problems that fall through the cracks, and these are the people that Little Fighters Cancer Trust has pledged to help in any way possible. LFCT takes a holistic approach to assisting the Children with Cancer and their Families, with the main aim to be the preservation of individual dignity and pride. Little Fighters Cancer Trust also focuses on promotion and advocacy of National Childhood Cancer Awareness in an effort to increase awareness of Early Warning Signs of Childhood Cancer. This would result in earlier diagnosis, giving the Child with Cancer more of a chance at Treatment and Survival. See "About" for more Background info
