Thank You Universal Music

The Little Fighters Cancer Trust would like to send out a big shout to Elli Koutsouvelis and Universal Music Africa for the FANTASTIC donation of R25 000 worth of product for our Family Festive Care Packages.

Our offices are full of great goodies that were delivered on Monday and we are happily falling all over them as we get ready to sort and pack all the wonderful goodies we have, including Christmas presents for our Beneficiaries and their siblings across the country.

Our Onco Parents are also well taken care of – in the form of a wonderful Care Package filled to the brim with food, toiletries, cleaning products, personal hygiene items and a few treats for the Festive Season so that they too can enjoy a bit of a break from worrying about the devil cancer and have sufficient to eat over the Festive Period.

UMusic, who heard about us via the Crazy Nomad, who is doing a Motorised Bicycle Tour From Joburg To Cape Town To Raise Funds For LFCT over the next two weeks, also wanted to do something for LFCT and, after speaking to us about our needs, elected to donate product for our Families for Christmas.

On Monday the Makro truck arrived to offload all these wonderful goodies!!

THANK YOU UMusic, THANK YOU Elli and also THANK YOU to Jason, aka Crazy Nomad – YOU GUYS ROCK ❣️❣️

Please follow the Fundraising Tour that Jason Doyle, aka Crazy Nomad will be embarking on next week Friday!!

This crazy guy (and a crazy friend) is going to be traveling around 1 400 kms in 15 days on a bicycle – yeah it has a motor, but still!!

The trip will take our riders on the back roads, starting at Melrose Arch, Johannesburg on 15 December 2018, and is the first of its kind.

We will be publishing more about this Epic Fundraising Tour across South Africa on a motorised bicycle on Monday, and will give his general itinerary as well.

We will be updating you with news about his ride on a daily basis, and he has also promised to keep us supplied with loads of pics and video to post as well.

Please donate via the Back-a-Buddy link below to help Jason reach his fundraising target of R100 000.

Also listen to Jason’s interview on Hamman Time on 5FM tomorrow 7/12/18 @ 12-45pm

About LFCT

CHILDHOOD CANCER and CHILDHOOD CANCER AWARENESS Little Fighters Cancer Trust is a non-profit Childhood Cancer support organisation that offers support and aid to Children with Cancer and their families. When a child is diagnosed with cancer it affects the whole family. One of the parents, usually the mother, must give up their job to care for the child and this creates financial problems for the family. In South Africa especially the majority of these families are not well-to-do; many of them are rural. A diagnosis of cancer can wipe out any family’s finances, let alone a poor family. The costs of special medications, special diets, hospital stays, transport to and from the hospital or clinic and accommodation and food costs for the mother who spends most of the time at her child’s bedside are astronomical. These are the people and problems that fall through the cracks, and these are the people that Little Fighters Cancer Trust has pledged to help in any way possible. LFCT takes a holistic approach to assisting the Children with Cancer and their Families, with the main aim to be the preservation of individual dignity and pride. Little Fighters Cancer Trust also focuses on promotion and advocacy of National Childhood Cancer Awareness in an effort to increase awareness of Early Warning Signs of Childhood Cancer. This would result in earlier diagnosis, giving the Child with Cancer more of a chance at Treatment and Survival. See "About" for more Background info
