Convoy for Kids Massive Victory for Childhood Cancer Awareness
There is nothing to get the heart pumping like 39 Big Rigs from local leading trucking companies (and their beefcake drivers) doing a toy run in aid of Childhood Cancer Awareness and Little Fighters Cancer Trust!!
The public in Somerset West Main Road rushed out of the businesses and shops in their droves to see what all the hullabaloo was about, with the truckers hooting for Childhood Cancer Awareness and the public cheering them on their way. This was echoed throughout the rest of the trip through Strand & Gordon’s Bay too. WHAT an AMAZING atmosphere!!!
Some of the Little Fighters and their families are on the trucks – having the time of their lives and loving every moment of the Toy Run – collecting new toys for the LFCT Christmas Elf Project. They are absolutely overwhelmed that this is all for THEM!! Will do another post later when we have all the photos in…. 😀
More photos, as promised… 🙂
and some more…..
The toy run ended in a handover of toys collected to the Little Fighters Cancer Trust @ Mondeor Garden Restaurant on the N2
Thanks to SA Long-Distance Truckers, Western Cape Truckers, Stephan Leppan and all the other countless individuals involved for making this first CONVOY FOR KIDS ROCK!!!!!
See you all Next Year!!!!
